METHOD TO COMBAT APPLE WORM

The method is applied in fruit growing. When using it, treatment against apple worm third generation and preliminary preventive treatments are not necessary whereby fruit and useful entomo and acarifauna are better preserved. The method helps to prognosticate more precisely and more objectively the moments of treatment against apple worms first and second generation with inhibitors of the chitinous synthesis by structuring the flight period. The optimum moment for treatment against the apple worms first generation is determined at reaching 5 per cent flight, temperature 11 degrees C and a total of effective temperatures equal to 51.7 degrees C, and against the second generation - at reaching 2 per cent flight, lower temperature limit of 18 degrees C and a total of effective temperatures equal to 53 degrees C
