OPTICAL DISK APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To stably perform a write operation and a replay operation by providing a light-transmitting flat plate which is provided with parallel faces used to adjust the displacement between the optical axis of an optical beam and the optically central axis of a condensing means. CONSTITUTION:The following are provided: a light source 10; a polarization means 12 which polarizes an optical beam from it; a condensing means 16 which condenses the optical beam on a recording film 17 on an optical disk; and a photodetection unit 14 which photodetects a reflected optical beam form a recording film 18 via the polarization means 12. The following is provided: a light-transmitting flat plate 13 which is installed obliquely with reference to the optical axis at the late stage of the polarization means 12 and which has parallel faces used to adjust the displacement between the optical axis of the optical beam and the optically central axis of the photodetection means 16. An optical axis outside a permissible region of the displacement between the optical axis of the optical beam and the optically central axis of the condensing means 16 can be put into the permissible range. Thereby, a write operation and a replay operation can be performed stably.
