The invention relates to a device for cleaning a liquid- filled shaft enclosed by essentially straight shaft walls 12. A spindle 10 is disposed centrally and rotatably in the shaft and at least one arm 11, which is rotatable together with the spindle 10 and projects such that it is axially adjustable on the spindle, is disposed such that it is freely movable in a plane perpendicular to the spindle 10 with respect to the radial distance between the spindle and the free end of the arm.
