PURPOSE:To share knowledge, in correspondence rules of the syntactic relation and meaning relation of an input sentence containing a numeral, among vocabularies, to fix the form of the knowledge, and to decrease the amount of information which is prepared by utilizing the correspondence rules. CONSTITUTION:A natural language process is performed for the input sentence containing the numeral. Then a meaning analytic process is carried out by using the correspondence rules 8b and 8c of the syntactic relation and meaning relation between a word placed behind a numeral in a noun, etc., and a word which is not placed behind the numeral in the noun, etc. Namely, the correspondence rules 8b and 8c of the syntactic relation and meaning relation of the input sentence containing the numeral are utilized. Consequently, the knowledge in the rules is shared among vocabularies and fixed in form, and the amount of information which is prepared is decreased. |
