PURPOSE:To obtain a rotary machine of small size and high performance by forming a compression space and an expansion space in spaces between an outside and inside cylinders and a vane support ring respectively and thereby composing a double compressor, double expansion machine or an expansion/compression machine of different capacity. CONSTITUTION:In an outside cylinder 1 with the outer peripheral face of a circular section and the inner peripheral face of an elliptical section, a vane support ring 2 is housed and rotated with its outer peripheral face making contact with the inner peripheral face of said cylinder 1. Likewise, in said ring 2, an elliptical inside cylinder 3 resembling the inner peripheral face of the outer cylinder 1 is housed with its outer periphral face making contact with the inner peripheral face of said ring 2. Vane grooves 4 which can have the plural number of vanes 5 slidably inserted are radially made in the vane support ring 2, while through holes 2c are made through a disc parts 2b between grooves 4, 4. Then, outside and inside suction ports 7a, 8a are formed in a rear head 6, while outside and inside discharge ports 7b, 8b are formed in a front head 9 to compose the captioned rotary machine. |
