PURPOSE:To prepare a fluoroalkyl alpha-chloroacrylate polymer or copolymer with high yield and good reproducibility by executing stationary radical polymn. of one or more kinds of fluoroalkyl alpha-chloroacrylate type monomers in a specified solvent. CONSTITUTION:The fluoroalkyl alpha-chloroacrylate polymer or copolymer is obtained by executing stationary radical polymn. of one or more kinds of fluoroalkyl alpha-chloroacrylate type monomers in a solvent dissolving the monomer but not the polymer, e.g., lower alcohols, such as methanol, ethanol, and propanol, and halogenated hydrocarbons, such as trichloroethylene in an amt. of 1-20 times the amt. of the monomer, preferably, 2-10 times, and it is polymerized at a temp. of 30-90 deg.C, dependent on the kinds of polymn. initiator and solvent to be used. |
