The invention relates to a process for metering material, for example onto a belt conveyor, a sieve, a crusher or a like receiver, through the use of a trolley feed comprising at least one hopper 1 and a trolley 2, which trolley preferably moves horizontally to and fro beneath the hopper and onto which trolley the material 6 is fed with various conveying apparatus.
