PURPOSE:To trace all editing processes back by generating link data for restoration control wherein the details of variation of link data for string control are recorded sequentially and putting the data recursively back to any stage of editing by a restoration processing means. CONSTITUTION:An editing information control means 14 generates, processes, and stores the link data for string control in response to an editing indication such as an insertion indication and a deletion indication. A restoration information control means 15 generates one link data for restoration control including information showing the states of the link data for string control before and after its alteration when the link data for string control is altered in the editing and links it with the existent link data for restoration control. Further, a restoration processing means 16 puts the link data for string control back into the state before the editing according to the link data for restoration control in response to a restoration indication. Consequently, the data can be put recursively back to any stage of the editing. |
