PURPOSE:To easily insert and input English letters, etc., while maintaining the continuity of operation by processing the depression of an alphabet key as the input of an English character until a specific key is pressed next once the alphabet key is pressed together with a specific control key. CONSTITUTION:A main body 1 is provided internally with an English letter mode decision part 14 which turns on and off an English letter mode wherein it is decided that the English character corresponding to the English key is inputted once the English letter key is pressed together with the specific control key (e.g. shift key) in KANA(Japanese syllabary) or Roman letter input mode and the depression of the English letter key is decided as the input of the English character and an alphanumeric input process part 15 which performs input processing for English letters, numbers, etc., according to the indication of the English letter mode decision part 14. Consequently, when the English letter, etc., is inputted in the middle of the input of Japanese characters, the characters can easily be inserted and inputted through the easy operation while touch key operation is enabled. |
