It relates to a tyre which comprises a wire (2), a radial carcass (7) placed between the beads and folded around the wires, a bracing ply placed radially outside the carcass, a filler (tip) (9) for padding the bead with progressively varying dimension, and a side wall placed on either side of the carcass and running from the bead base towards the edge of the tread strip, the side wall comprising a lower side wall and an upper side wall, each bead including, between the carcass and the lower side wall, a lateral lining member of slight thickness.
