PURPOSE:To enhance cooling effect by simple constitution and to conserve a space by providing a cooling guide plate cooling the recording sheet discharged from a thermal fixing apparatus while guiding the same and a blow fan for blowing air to the cooling guide plate and providing bent cooling fins to the cooling guide plate. CONSTITUTION:The recording sheet 6 having the image fixed in a thermal fixing apparatus 1 is passed between a relay guide plate 16 and a cooling guide plate 17 by paper discharge rolls 12, 13 to be fed to the pressure contact part of the cooling guide plate 17 and a feed roller 18. When the recording sheet 6 is moved on the cooling guide plate 17, said sheet 6 is cooled by the cooling air supplied by a blow fan 19 and guided by cooling fins 20 to pass through vent holes 15 and the cooling guide plate 17 cooled by said cooling air to be discharged to a paper discharge tray through paper discharge rollers 21, 22. At this time, the cooling fins 20 function as radiation fins for cooling the cooling guide plate 17 while guiding cooling air. |
