<p>PURPOSE:To provide a ball having an improved paint layer capable of providing excellent external appearance by using an enamel paint containing a specified weight percentage of white colored pigment and fluorescent brightener for enamel painting and a clear paint containing a specified weight percentage of fluorescent brightener for clear painting. CONSTITUTION:To provide a feeling of transparency to a gold ball itself, the content of white colored pigment in an enamel paint is held usually as low as 1-20wt.%, preferably 5-10wt.%. The content of fluorescent brightener is 0.04-2.0wt.%. The enamel paint is basically compounded of base resin, solvent, pigment and fluorescent brightener. Titanium oxide, zinc oxide, etc., are used for the white colored pigment. The base of urethane resin, acrylic resin, etc., is used generally for a clear paint. 0.04-2.0wt.%, preferably 0.08-1.0wt.% of fluorescent brightener is blended with the clear paint. Thus, more beautiful and specially whiter external appearance is given to the golf ball to provide a better image to a player.</p> |
