The invention relates to an apparatus for spraying a liquid in the form of microparticles, the apparatus including: - a tank (2) containing the liquid (3) to be sprayed; - a vessel (4) forming a spray chamber (5) and provided with a microparticle outlet orifice (4C), the said chamber being in communication with the liquid, contained in the tank, via a tube (10) plunging via one of its ends into the said liquid and fitted at its other end with a nozzle (8) located in the said chamber; and - means (12) for injecting a gas under pressure into the said chamber (5) of the vessel by way of a pipe (11) fitted with a nozzle (9) close to the nozzle of the said tube. Advantageously, in the spray chamber, the geometrical axes (X-X and Y-Y) of the nozzles (8,9), which are carried respectively by the tube (10) and the pipe (11), converge towards each other at the outlet of the said nozzles, forming an angle. <IMAGE>
