A test bench for measuring the transfer impedance of a cable. The bench comprises a support 30 on which the cable under test (44) is positioned. A microstrip (50) is fixed on to a plate (34) which can be very precisely positioned with respect to the support (30) in order to create a uniform magnetic field and to match the impedance of the circuit formed by the microstrip and the shielding of the cable to a predetermined value. <IMAGE>
