PURPOSE:To protect an analyzer and improve the accuracy of analysis by inserting the inner end of a sampling tube on the side face of an exhaust tube, and detachably providing a cap on the outer end of the sampling tube projecting outward from a seal housing. CONSTITUTION:The outer end of a sampling tube 14 is slightly projected outward from a seal housing 20, and a cap 27 is gastightly mounted on the outer end of the sampling tube 14. At picking up exhaust gas of an outboard motor and analyzing, the cap 27 is removed, a sampling apparatus is connected to the outer end of the sampling tube 14 to pick up the exhaust gas. In this method, only the exhaust gas flowing in an exhaust tube 10 and containing no water can be picked up. Hereby, an analyzer can be protected and the accuracy of analysis can be improved. |
