1299453 Dyeing with reactive dyes CIBAGEIGY AG 17 Dec 1969 [18 Dec 1968 26 Feb 1969 7 July 1969] 61476/69 Heading D1B Organic fibre materials are continuously dyed or printed with a solution of at least one dyestuff containing no acid salt forming water-solubilising groups and having at least one fibre reactive group in a solvent or solvent mixture consisting of an afrotic solvent, e.g. optionally halogenated hydrocarbons especially chlorohydrocarbons or mixtures thereof and optionally a water-soluble organic solvent boiling below 220‹C removing excess dye liquor from the material and fixing the dye by a heat treatment, dry heat or steam, at temperatures below the softening point of the material. The materials may be dried before the heat fixation. Aprotic solvents include toluene, xylene, chlorobenzene, carbon tetrachloride, tri- and tetrachloroethylene, perchloroethylene, tetrachloroethane and dibromoethylene, water-soluble solvents include alkanols, ketones, dioxon, pyridine, NN-dialkylamides. Cellulose di- and tri-acetate, synthetic polyamides, polyesters and polyvinyl fibres are treated by the above process. |
