PURPOSE:To function an auto-cassette change process effectively by performing judgement of existence of transfer paper having the same size as that of transfer paper used out and being different in the accommodation direction in a accommodation means, then selecting an accommodation means for storing transfer paper of different accommodation direction, and continuing formation of image. CONSTITUTION:When shortage of transfer paper in an accommodation means selected during formation of continuous image is detected, a printer controller PCON of a judgement means judges the existence of transfer paper of different accommodation direction and the same size as the transfer paper used out. The printer controller PCON of the selection means selects an accommodation means for storing the transfer paper or the same size as that of the transfer paper used out and being different in accommodation direction, and a leader controller RCON of a control means controls the turning processing in a specified direction with respect to document information stored in an image memory to continue the formation of image onto the transfer paper selectively fed from the selection means. It is thus possible to function an auto-cassette change effectively. |
