The invention relates to a new package made of cardboard and having fixed height and an incorporated self-adhesive closure. It consists of a central panel divided by folding lines into five elements or panels forming the bottom (1), the longitudinal vertical sides (2) and the flaps (3) and (13) forming the top. Each of the sections (1), (2), (3) and (13) is extended on both sides by mutually-independent flaps (4), (5), (6) and (14). The dimensions of (4), (6) and (14) in the longitudinal direction are all equal and are between half the height and the height of the package. On the other hand, the length of the flaps (5) is equal to that of (6) less a length at least equal to the width of the double-sided tape (8) glued to the flaps (6). Furthermore, cuts or folding lines (7) on the flaps (14) will make it possible for the double-sided adhesive tape (8) to adhere strongly both to the flaps (5) and to the central section of (14). These packages are especially intended for the general public for sending postal parcels and as gift boxes. <IMAGE>
