When the character is other than a character, new data X, and existing data Y are inputted to a first flag generating means 9, and a second flag generating means 10, respectively, and stored in a first and a second store means 7, 8 after a flag becomes effective. By a second comparing means 11, the characters are compared, sorted by a sorting means 12 in accordance with sort order of a sort order table 3, based on the flag and registered in a memory means 2. In such a way, an electronic pocketbook, etc., for retrieving a full name can be handled easily. |
