PURPOSE:To easily inspect in a cable-laid conduit by securing front or rear assembly to a conduit, moving other assembly forward or rearward to the secured front or rear assembly by a propulsion cylinder to move the entire device forward or rearward. CONSTITUTION:When operating fluid is supplied to or discharged from a propulsion cylinder 5 in a state that a rear assembly 3 is secured to a conduit 1 and a front assembly 2 is freely movable to extend its piston rod 51, the assembly 2 is moved forward. Then, when the fluid is supplied to or discharged from the cylinder 5 in a state that the assembly 2 is secured and the assembly 3 is free to retract the rod 51, the assembly 3 is moved forward from the initially secured position at a stroke of the rod 51 of the cylinder 5. This operation is repeated to move forward the device in the conduit 1. The device can be easily reversely moved by the reverse operation to the above operation. Thus, the inspection of the conduit 1 laid with a cable 9 can be facilitated. |
