<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the duplicated presence of same data in a data memory by erasing the contents stored in a secured storage area for releasing the storage area when the transmission of data group is not normally executed. CONSTITUTION:Data are transmitted by a host device consisting of a host computer 3 and the like to a portable storage medium 1, and the data are stored in a storage means 12. Prior to this processing, a control element 11 serving as a storage area securing means secures the storage area for storing the data into the storage means 12. When a transmission error occurs during the data transmission, the control element 11 of the portable storage medium 1 erase all the contents stored in the secured storage area. Then the control element 11 releases the storage area secured within the storage means 12. Thus, the duplicated presence of the same data in the data memory can be prevented when the re-transmission of the data group after the transmission of the same data group was interrupted due to the transmission error.</p> |
