An apparatus for concentrating waste liquor from a photographic process comprising: an evaporation and concentration chamber 1 using a heating section of a heat pump as a heat source 2 for evaporating waste liquor from a photographic process; and a cooling and condensation chamber 1A using a cooling section 2A of the heat pump for cooling and condensing the vapor from the waste liquor from a photographic process produced as a result of the heating; wherein: the evaporation and concentration chamber 1 and the cooling and condensation chamber 1A are arranged as two chambers adjacently positioned, and both chambers are in communication and the inner pressure in both chambers can be reduced.
