PURPOSE:To eliminate set-up of a scale in the case of expanding part of an original and printing out the expanded image on the whole width of printing paper, to simplify operation and to prevent the generation of misprinting by expanding a specified area of the original to the whole width of the printing paper and printing out the expanded contents. CONSTITUTION:The image of an original 53 is read out and stored by a scanner 50. When a necessary area in the original is specified by a digitizer 64, the area is expanded to the whole width of printing paper 26 by a processing means (CPU) 84, proper image processing such as coloring is applied to the expanded contents and the processed image is printed out by a printer 20. Consequently, a long original such as a banner strung, a hanging screen and a signboard can be printed out by simple operation without setting up its scale. |
