PURPOSE:To provide desired characteristics by a method wherein a prism forms a prism formed in the shape of a triangle in cross section a part near the apex part of which is notched, the vicinity of the apex part of the prism and the root part of the prism form an absorbing surface, and illumination is located to the rear of the apex part of the prism. CONSTITUTION:A prism 2 forms a prism formed in the shape of a triangle in cross section a part near the apex part of which is notched, the vicinity of the apex part of the prism and a root part 9B of the prism form an absorbing surface, and illumination 8 is arranged to the rear of the apex part of the prism. Namely, the prism comprises absorbing surfaces 5A and 5B of sides 4A and 4B of the prism, colored layers 6A and 6B of the absorbing surfaces 5A and 5B, a bottom surface 7 of the prism, the illumination 8 arranged to the rear, end parts 9A and 9C on the bottom side of the prism sides, a root part 9B being a connection part on the bottom side of the prism side, and a colored layer 6C formed to the root part. This constitution easily provides transmission and reflection characteristics, approximately equal to a design value, especially a display contract ratio and visual characteristics. |
