The hinge (1) is for the vehicle platform side (2) of a utility vehicle, which is pivoted through 180 deg. It has a first vehicle-fastened part (3); a second part (5) fastened to the side; and a joint surface (7) with two parallel hinge pins (4,6). The first part is hinged to the first pin, and second to the second pin, and both are pivoted through 90 deg. The joint section has a single ashlar-shaped connection web, which connects the two pins. The thickness of the web corresponds to the diameter of the pins, and its flat broad sides partly form pivot stops between the pins, for the hinge parts.
