The appts. to give a direct shaping to the mountings for glass panes, for construction or vehicle fittings, uses a multi-part frame with shaping channels open to the interior at the edges of the glass pane for high pressure injection moulding with PVC or low pressure injection moulding with polyurethane. At least two frame members (8, 10) each have a profile head (14) at one end, which gives a keyed fit in the shaping channel of the adjacent frame member (9, 7). The head is moved in place by sliding, and at least one profile head (14) has a channel (16) for the moulding mass to be inserted. The frame members are pref. joined together in pairs (7, 8; 9, 10) with a profile head (14) for each pair of members. Two frame members (7, 8) are firmly bonded together, and the other pair of frame members (9, 10) with profile heads (14) slide against them, where one frame member (9) has two profile heads (14) and can be lengthened by inserts. USE/ADVANTAGE - The system gives a mounting round the glass pane which is of the correct size for fitting in place, and allows for variations in the dimensions of the glass. The appts. gives a moulded fitting for glass panes in a variety of sizes.
