PURPOSE:To efficiently analyze and repair a defective board by providing a data base for a conformed board, a data comparing means which compares a board to be tested with the conformed board, and a data base for the cause of trouble. CONSTITUTION:The model signal data base 4 is stored previously with signal sequences which are gathered from the board in normal operation and generated by various tests. A central processing unit 7 supplies a test signal to the board 1 to be tested which is connected to a bus system through a signal gathering device 2 and a signal is outputted from a bus by conducting the test. A model signal corresponding to the test signal, on the other hand, is selected by a selector 5 and a signal comparator 3 compares the selected model signal with the obtained bus signal. When both the signals do not match each other, the central processing unit 7 retrieves and refers to the fault cause data base 6 according to the trouble point of the signals obtained by the signal comparator 3 to specify the cause of the trouble. Consequently, the defective board can be analyzed and repaired with efficiency. |
