Renovating cold water pipes - involves blocking off blocks of condensers and pumps, and fitting connecting pipes

The method is for renovating wide cold-water pipes in power-stations with each block possessing machine-condensors (2) and cold-water pumps (1). There are collector-rails (3, 4) possessing blockable feeder and discharge pipes. A T-shaped piece (16) is fitted into each cold-water (1) and cooling-tower (12) pipe before and after respectively the last locking-gate (6, 13). An open feeder (17) is pulled over the T-shaped pieces (6, 13) and given a locking gate (18). In the open feeder (17) parallel to the collector-rail (3, 4) and between the separate locking gates (18) are connecting-pipes (19, 20) with non-corrosive lining. USE/ADVANTAGE - Each block fitted with machine condensors and cold water pumps, together with the collector rails are blocked off at their inlets and outlets and cleaned without switching of the cold water pumps.
