The slat support serves for supporting mattresses and has a frame and a multiplicity of slats (11) arranged parallel to one another. Provided at both ends of the slats (11) are vertical support shafts (9) which are connected to the slats (11) in an articulated manner. The support shafts (9) are received by vertical guide bores (4) which are provided in each case in a row on the upper side of the frame limbs (1) extending in the longitudinal direction of the slat support. Longitudinally extending chambers (3) are recessed in the frame limbs (1), in which chambers the means are provided which resiliently support the support shafts (9) and contain an inflatable, tubular bellows (5). The chambers (3) are of tubular construction. Due to the pressure prevailing in it, the inflatable bellows (5) rests with its entire surface directly against the wall of the tubular chambers (3). The support shafts (9) rest directly on the bellows (5). The tubular bellows (5) are connected via control members to at least one pressure vessel (17). …<IMAGE>… |
