PURPOSE:To obtain the title additive for promoting growth of fishes in culture and improving feed efficiency, shortening a culture period, reducing culture cost, comprising an extract of root of Glycyrrhiza glabra containing a hydrophobia flavonoid. CONSTITUTION:Root of Glycyrrhiza glabra containing a hydrophobic flavonoid (e.g. retrochalcone or flavanone) is extracted with an organic solvent such as methylene chloride, methanol, acetone or ethyl acetate to give the objective additive. |
