PURPOSE:To enlarge controllable rotational speed range with high accuracy by varying the width and the amplitude of a pulse for feeding power to a motor thereby controlling the rotation of the motor. CONSTITUTION:A controller 1 compares an external speed command signal with a speed signal fed from a speed detecting means 5a for detecting the speed of a motor 5 and then selects optimal pulse voltage and pulse width for equalizing the rotational speed of the motor 5 and a commanded speed. In order to equalize the speeds, a voltage command signal is fed to a variable power supply 2 while simultaneously a pulse width command signal is fed to a variable pulse generating circuit 3. Power fed from the variable power supply 2 receiving the voltage command signal is switched at a driving pulse generating circuit 4 based on a pulse fed from the variable pulse generating circuit 3 and thus switched power is fed to a DC motor 5. Since the driving pulse to be fed to the DC motor 5 varies in width and voltage, driving range of the DC motor 5 is enlarged. |
