A multi-layer, heat shrinkable film comprises: (I) one or two outer layers of material selected from polyethylene, polypropylene, propylene/ethylene copolymer and blends; (II) a core layer of mateiral, having a m.pt. below the temp.require-to orient (I), selected from ethylene/acid copolymers and related ionomers, ethylene/acid/acrylate terpolymers and related ionomers, mixts. with up to 50% ethylene vinyl acetate, mixrs. of ethylene/ester copolymers with upt to 50% ethylene vinyl acetate, and combinations of the preceding materials. (II) comprises 50-90% of the total thickness of the film. Opt. included is an adhesive resin layer (III) between each layer of (I) or between layers (I) and (II) to increase adhesion between the layers. Claimed use of (I) as propylene/ethylene copolymer contg. 1-4% ethylene; (II) as ethylene and acrylic or methacrylic acid copolymers and their ionomers, ethylene, acrylic or methacrylic acid, and alkylacrylate oe methacrylate terpolymers, and their ionomers, blends of the co- or ter-polymers with up to 50% ethylene vinyl acetate, or blends of ethylene and alkyl acrylate or methacrylate copolymers with up to 50% of ethylene vinyl acetate, pref. ionomers or blends; and (III) as ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers, ethylene/ester copolymers and anhydride grafted polyolefings, esp. a copolymer of ethylene with 20-24% methacrylate.
