Doll's body for life-like movements - has flexible joints with braided seams engaging in ring grooves of limbs

The doll's body comprises an upper body and lower abdomen as well as arms and legs, all made from solid material such as porcelain or plastics and connected together by flexible e.g. textile parts. A ring groove is moulded into at least one part (9,12,16) of the body (P) of solid material near the connecting point with a flexible part so that a braided seam (7,19,20,24) of the flexible part (2,3,15) can be threaded into the groove by means of a band (8,21,22,25). The upper body an be made in one piece with the arm stumps (14) and the arms can be connected to the arm stumps by a flexible tubular connecting station (15) wherein each arm (16) has a ring groove facing the arm stump to take the seam. ADVANTAGE - Easier connection of the individual parts whilst allowing life-like movements during play.
