The teaching aid for use in acquiring skills at ball games uses images projected onto the surface of the billiard table (2). A projector (6) is suspended over the table and the lens system (12) directs the image onto a mirror (18) and then onto the table. The system is controlled by a computer that responds to camera input as reference and determines the required cue actions. The projected parts indicate the line to be attempted for the correct inpact of the balls. ADVANTAGE - Provides construction for improving ball game skills, e.g. billiards or skittles.
