The relay has an operating lever in the form of a wiper (4) between the relay contacts (2, 3) and the relay armature (1). The upper free end (12) of the wiper (4) cooperates with the contact spring (3), its pivot point (5) provided by a cylindrical surface cooperating with a counter-bearing (9) provided by a recess in the armature (1) at the end adjacent the yoke (6). A further external bearing point (7) cooperates with a bias spring (8), holding the wiper (4) in a stable position, with a defined air gap between the wiper (4) and the armature (1), upon operation of the contacts (2, 3).
