A shoe (1) with a multi-layer insole (4) and an insole for such a shoe. Between the lower insole layer (5) and an insole covering layer (7) there is a cushioning layer (6). The lower insole layer (5) is thickened downwards at least in the toe region and projects downwards into the region (12) surrounded by the clamped edge (10) of the shoe upper part and the cushioning layer (6) of the insole is arranged in this downward thickening (14). In the toe region the peripheral region of the lower insole layer (5) bears on the insole covering layer and is adhesively secured thereto. Hollows between the lower insole layer (5) and the insole covering layer (7) near the cushioning layer (6) are filled with bonding compound. The cushioning layer is preferably inserted between the lower insole layer and the insole covering layer together with a moulded cork-latex compound forming a bed for the foot. In a preferred embodiment the layers of the insole are secured together by seams running approximately transversely to the longitudinal direction of the shoe. |
