A body protection device is disclosed and is integrated in or attached to a garment, with a hard material core and a padding part which consists of a foam material with closed pores and which is arranged at the side of the hard material core facing the human body. Both the hard material core and the padding part have perforations in the cross direction to their longitudinal extension.
