The data logging unit has a feed system for the data carrier that is based upon driven rollers and a pair of contact rollers (27,28). The rollers are located at either end of a spindle (36) and are clipped into position on a guide plate (3). - The rollers are retained by a pressed metal spring clip (41). This has a pair of ''U'' shaped ends (39,40), with lugs (37,38) that latch onto the spindle. A formed lug (43) is located in a plate aperture (44).
