A device for administering iron to piglets comprises an iron lick block rotatably mounted with limited axial movement on a substantially rigid axle which is attached to an arm pivotally connected to a support. The block may be formed about a hollow axial spindle, the interior surface of which carries frictional elements, for example ridges, to restrict the rotation of the block about the axis. The block may be as set forth in Specification 1,165,776, comprising hard and soft portions. Fig. 1 shows a device according to the invention, the block 1 and spindle 2 rotating about axle 3, and secured thereto by cap 13, the arm 4 pivoting parallel to the axle on plate 9, bend 11 preventing the block from pivoting too far downwards, and finger 12 preventing the block from pivoting too far upwards. |
