PURPOSE:To form a precise flat face at one part of a lens with the part to be polished only being accurately polished, by fixing the lens to the respective small holes of a fixing plate by a binder with the part to be polished of the lens being projected from the fixing plate. CONSTITUTION:An unhardened binder 2 is put into a lot of small holes 6 provided on a fixing plate 5. A lens 1 is then put into the respective small hole 6 of the fixing plate 5 with the part to be polished of the lens 1 being projected from the fixing plate 5. Then the lens 1 is fixed into the small hole 6 of the fixing plate 5 with this binder 2 being hardened, and the part to be polished of the lens 1 is polished by a polishing machine 8. |
