<p>PURPOSE:To perform smooth shifting and freely select gear modules according to purposes with a simple mechanism by providing an engage stop member with two worm gears, and interposing a compression spring between the worm gears to make them movable in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:If the phases of gears 20 and 28 are not in agreement and first and second worm gears 1 and 2 together with a worm box 19 move in the direction C, the second worm gear 2 interferes with the gear 28 at the point H. However, because a compression spring 3 is provided between the worm gears 1 and 2, the second worm gear is capable of escaping in the direction of arrow K. Therefore smooth engagement is performed irrespective of the phase difference between the gears 20 and 28. Also when the worm box 19 moves in the direction opposite the arrow C, similar effect is provided because the first worm gear 1 is capable of escaping in the direction of arrow L.</p> |
