PURPOSE:To perform synchronous running of a large rotary body with a small motor by a method wherein the rotary body is connected to the rotary axle of a small synchronous motor through the intermediary of a friction clutch, the starting of the rotary body is performed slowly and finally it is revolved synchronously. CONSTITUTION:A boss 12 is fixed on the rotating shaft of the small synchronous motor consisting of a permanent magent rotor 2 and stators 6 and 7. On this boss 12, the rotary body 14 is loosely coupled and the rotary body 14 is held by the flange 13 of the boss 12 and a washer 17. The washer 17 is energized on the side of the body of revolution 14 by the counter spring 16 which is fixed at the end section of the boss 12 in such manner that a friction clutch is formed between the washer 17 and the rotray body 14. When a current is applied on the exciting coil 5 on the synchronous motor 1, the rotating shaft 3 rotates in synchronization with the power source frequency, but as the rotary body 14 is frictionally connected, it can be started slowly even in the case of a large rotary body a having a large inertial force and synchronous revolution can be performed in the final stage. |
