PURPOSE:To eliminate soldering process, facilitate replacement of IC socket, and provide a printed circuit board with a long lifetime by fixing an insulated base board of an IC socket to the printed circuit board removably, and connecting a connecting piece with a leaf spring furnished at the pattern by means of pressure attachment. CONSTITUTION:An IC socket 1 is fixed to a printed circuit board 8 by a screw 14 and nut 15 through a screw hole 13 in a housing 2 and the circuit board 8, and a connecting piece 6 of a contact 5 transmits electrical signals given to a pattern on the printed circuit board 8 via a leaf spring 9 secured to a through hole 10 without protruding at the mounting surface of the printed circuit board. Accordingly connection of IC socket 1 with the circuit board 8 can be made without soldering process to allow easy replacement of worn or failed contact 5 or broken housing 2. Further the lifetime can be prolonged because the lands of the circuit board will not be exfoliated with heat. |
