PURPOSE:To improve an operation margin and a yield of a product through improvement of an erroneous lighting by bringing the scanning side into a low clamp state during a non-selection period of an electrode on the scanning side. CONSTITUTION:The whole of the scanning side is brought into a low clamp state on the scanning side during non-selection period and a rectangular signal enters a selection section. Lighting ON and lighting OFF are effected through the change of the phase of a waveform on the data side and a synthetic waveform is applied on a cell. A delay in discharge occurring when a low clamp state is produced widely depends upon a rise and fall time and the more it is steep, the more a delay in discharge is improved. |
