摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the saturation of colors by having two silver halide (AgX) emulsions having different particle sizes and the same spectral sensitivity and providing AgX emulsion layers in which the silver iodide of the larger particle sizes is incorporated at the higher ratio and the spectral sensitivities are different. CONSTITUTION:A titled material has at least two AgX emulsions having substantially different average particle sizes but having substantially the same spectral sensitivity. The emulsion layer (emulsion layer for controlling the content of the silver iodie) having such relation that the silver iodide content of the larger average particle sizes is higher than the silver iodide content of the smaller average particle sizes among the emulsions and the AgX emulsion layer having the spectral sensitivity different from the spectral sensitivity of said emulsion layer are provided to said material. Many of the iodine ions exhibiting the behavior to control the development are released by the development of the AgX particles and therefore the higher effect of suppressing the development is obtd. by increasing relatively the silver iodide content of the larger AgX particles. The effect of suppressing the development of both emulsion layers having the different spectral sensitivities is improved between the two emulsion layers even if the silver iodide content as a whole is not increased. The preferable color reproducibility is thus obtd.
