PURPOSE:To widen the area with fluorescence, increase the display brightness, and mitigate the locational accuracy in fluorescence arrangement by furnishing a fluorescent substance layer containing particles of fluorescent substance and black or grey particles with electroconductivity. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent substance layer 22 containing particles 24 of fluorescent substance and black or grey particles 26 with electroconductivity is formed on an anode electrode. As the layer 22 is electroconductive, gas electro-discharge can well produced and maintained even though the layer 22 is installed in such a way enclosing the anode electrode. Provision of fluorescent substance layer 22 as enclosing the anode electrode can widen the area with the layer 22 arranged to lead to enhancement of the display brightness, and also the locational accuracy when the layer 22 is to be formed can be mitigated. |
