PURPOSE:To prevent flash from developing in the neighborhood of an annular pressing member by a method wherein the annular pressing member, which presses the outer peripheral part of a stamper against one of mold bodies and forms a mold cavity together with the respective mold bodies and the stamper, is made shiftable to the one mold body in a surface, which is nearly parallel to molding surfaces. CONSTITUTION:Material to be molded, which is injected through a nozzle 60 and is under molten state, is introduced in a mold cavity 61, which is partitioned by the respective molding surfaces of a fixed mold body 41 and of a movable mold body 42. A clamping ring 85 is made slidable to an outer peripheral clamp 78 and an intermediate ring 84 in a surface, which is parallel to the respective molding surfaces of the fixed mold body 41 and of the movable mold body 42. At mold clamping, the outer peripheral. clamp 18 freely shifts against the frictional force developed between the intermediate ring 84 and the clamp 78 with an elastic member 112 so as to bring the inside tapered face 78a of the outer peripheral clamp 78 and the tapered face 49c of a fixed mirror plate 49 into close contact with each other without causing the slightest gap between them. Further, since the outer peripheral clamp 78 is applied with energizing force by the elastic member 112, the outer peripheral part of the main surface of a stamper 75 and the outer peripheral clamp 78 come into close contact with each other without causing any gap between them. |
