<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of frays and floc to the cut end part of a suspension belt by cutting the end part of the suspension belt, having the one end coupled to the gas injection nozzle side of an air bag body and the other end part coupled to the expansion side, by means of an ultrasonic cutter and forming the cut end part in a flat state. CONSTITUTION:An air bag body 21 of an air bag device is formed such that an end part 31a of a suspension belt 31 is sewn to a belt catch 23 and the belt catch 23 is sewn at 25 to the outer peripheral edge of a gas injection nozzle 27 of a member 21b on the rear side of the air bag body 21. The other end of the suspension belt 31 is coupled to the tip on the expansion side of the air bag body. In this case, the end part 31a of the suspension belt 31 is cut to a desired length by means of an ultrasonic cutter. This constitution provides the coarse finish state of the cut end part of the suspension belt 31, i.e., a cut surface and the upper and the under surface of the end part 31a, and prevents the occurrence of frays to the end part 31a.</p> |
