<p>PURPOSE:To improve the quality of thickness by performing the constant control of tension on the inlet side so that the influence of tension fluctuation of material that is generated in a looper doesn't appear at a rolled stock on the inlet side of a tandem mill. CONSTITUTION:The tension controller on the inlet side of the tandem mill 5 is constituted so that the output of the looper 3 and tension on the inlet side of the mill 5 are controlled with 1st and 2nd tension control systems and, further, the tension deviation of the former is proportionally operated, manipulated variable that the deviation is made zero is determined and the manipulated variable of the later is corrected by this manipulated variable. In this way, even if both control systems are proportional/integral control systems, the control response of the later is quickened, influence that is affected to the rolled stock on the inlet side of the tandem mill by the tension fluctuation that is generated in the looper can be restrained and the quality of thickness control can be improved.</p> |
