PURPOSE:To meet the request of multikind low production by equipping it with a base, where a recess is provided at the center, a light emitting element chip, which is disposed at nearly the center of the recess, and a light interrupting member, which is disposed inside the recess around this light emitting element chip. CONSTITUTION:A fan-shaped recess 3 and a rectangular groove 4, which is linked with this, are made at the topside of a base 2, where two lead terminals 1 are provided at the bottom, and an LED chip 5 is fixed at the center of the recess 3. And light interrupting resin is poured into the recess 3 and the groove 4, and is hardened to make a light interrupting member 6. Therefore, for the LED chip 5, only the topside is exposed, and the substantial size of the light emitting part is small. Accordingly, the light emitted from the side of the LED chip 5 is all checked with the light interrupting member 6, and the light is radiated only upward. Hereby, the manufacturing line is automated by hardening the resin so as to form the light interrupting member, and cost reduction and yield rate improvement can be realized. |
